COMMITTEE SUBSTANTIVELY CHANGES QUEBEC HUMAN RIGHTS LAWS

The National Assembly’s Committee on Culture and Education yesterday resumed its clause-by-clause analysis of Bill 96, An Act respecting French, the Official and Common Language of Québec. Members discussed clauses 107 and 125 to 146, which make several modifications to Quebec’s Code of Civil Procedure, the provincial Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms (Quebec Charter), and the Interpretation Act.
