Élections Québec’s decides to mail out voter information documents exclusively in French. Trudie Mason speaks with Eva Ludvig about the injustice stemming from this contreversal decision.

Speaking on CJAD’s Elias Makos show, TALQ president Eva Ludvig says every citizen has the right to receive “equitable information” to exercise their vote. For Ludvig, it’s a question of principle and a question of rights. TALQ is exploring legal options to see what can be done, and is still waiting to hear back from language minister Jean-François Roberge, who according to Élections Québec, is responsible for not allowing them to send the voter information in English. Ludvig adds Élections Quebec should not be subject to political intervention and must act as an independent body. Listen to the full interview below.
