Le rapprochement entre le gouvernement progressiste-conservateur de Blaine Higgs et un organisme ouvertement anti-bilinguisme officiel sème la controverse au Nouveau-Brunswick.

En prévision de la révision de la Loi sur les langues officielles, le bureau du premier ministre a consulté la Société de l’Acadie du Nouveau-Brunswick (SANB), mais aussi la Anglophone Rights Association of New Brunswick.
