QCGN expresses sincere condolences to the family of Brian Mulroney and all Canadians

Montreal – February 29, 2024 – QCGN expresses deep condolences to the family of former Prime Minister of Canada the Rt. Hon. Brian Mulroney, who died today at age 84. He was a man of stature whose profound belief in the sanctity of human rights never wavered, and who did much to build bridges between Quebec and the rest of Canada.

Whether it was forging agreements on acid rain or other environmental issues, building bridges between French-speaking Quebec and the rest of Canada, or standing strong against apartheid in South Africa, Brian Mulroney wasn’t afraid to move boldly on the world stage, or in attempts to better cement the Canadian federation during his nine years as Prime Minister.
