Sylvia Martin-Laforge interview with CJAD’s Andrew Carter

News

At the 11:00-minute-mark in the broadcast, TALQ director general Sylvia Martin-Laforge joined CJAD’s Andrew Carter to discuss the lack of English on Santé Quebec’s website. Martin-Laforge says all government bodies have a duty to make English services easy to find through an active offer, instead of forcing users to search through multiple pages. Santé Québec says its approach respects the Charter of the French Language and OQLF rules, and it is in talks with the language office and the Ministry of the French Language about possibly adding more English content.
