Pillar of St. Paul’s River, Edward Griffin, recognized for lifetime of community involvement

News

As TALQ marks its 30th anniversary, we are turning the spotlight on the people who have shaped the vitality of English-speaking Quebec. Through 30for30, TALQ is recognizing 30 individuals whose leadership, creativity, and dedication have strengthened their communities across the province.

From arts and education to health, advocacy, and heritage, this diverse group of laureates represents the many ways English-speaking Quebecers contribute to the province’s social and cultural fabric. Each has made a lasting impact — often quietly, always meaningfully — improving lives and inspiring others to do the same.

86-year-old Edward Griffin is one of 30 volunteers and leaders being recognized for their contributions to English-speaking communities in the province by TALQ, (Talking. Advocating. Living in Québec.) He spoke to Alison Brunette about his countless projects he’s worked on in his home town on the Lower North Shore.
