Recognition, support for CBC top list of QCGN policy demands

Maintaining funding for the CBC, especially in regions, recognizing the 1.3-million-member English-speaking community of Quebec as an Official Language Minority Community, and reducing income inequalities the community faces are among the issues federal political parties should address during the coming election campaign, the Quebec Community Groups Network said today.

“We are realistic enough to understand that other issues are likely to dominate the coming campaign, as they should, but that does not relieve us of our responsibility to make representations on our community’s behalf and share them publicly,” said QCGN President Eva Ludvig. “An election is an important moment to raise our community’s concerns with all federal parties.”
